Step By Step Guide For Getting Term End Exam Papers Reevaluated in IGNOU

Are you unhappy with your IGNOU term end results? IGNOU provides an opportunity to apply for revaluation of term end results that are declared by the university.

When can one apply for revaluation in IGNOU?

Students can apply for revaluation within thirty days of the declaration of term end results. Suppose IGNOU has declared the result of a subject MCS12 on 12 February 2019, then the revaluation application form must reach the respective evaluation centre before 12 March 2019. 

Here is the step by step guide for applying for revaluation of answer scripts.

Step 1: Check out IGNOU term end results

First, check whether the results have been declared by IGNOU or not on the official website.

Step-2: Download Revaluation form from IGNOU website

After checking the results, if you feel you have got lesser number of marks against your expectations, then go on and download the revaluation form. 

Go to www.ignou.ac.in and click on Student Zone. In the Student Zone drop-down menu, click on the Downloads link. The following page will appear.

Here click on Re-evaluation of answer scripts link to download the IGNOU re-evaluation application form. When you click on the link, one PDF file containing the Re-Evaluation of Answer Script application form will open. 

Download the application form and take a print out of the downloaded IGNOU re-evaluation application form.

Step-III: Make Demand Draft in favour of IGNOU

Now you have to make a demand draft of requisite fee towards the re-evaluation of answer scripts. As of now, IGNOU is charging rupees 750/- per course (i.e., per subject) for getting term end answer paper re-evaluated. So go on and make the DD accordingly. Also one needs to bear in mind that the DD should be payable in the city of Evaluation Centre of IGNOU. Step-IV: Fill up the Re-evaluation of Answer Scripts application form

Fill up the application form. All fields given in the Re-evaluation Application are self-explanatory. Fill up all the details and cross check before you seal the envelope.

Step-V: Preparing envelop and send the re-evaluation application form

Now on the top of the envelope, you should mention ‘APPLICATION FORM FOR RE-EVALUATION OF ANSWER SCRIPTS’. Then speed post or courier the envelope to the corresponding Evaluation Centre.

Step-VI: Wait for IGNOU Re-Evaluation results

Now all you have to do is wait for the re-evaluation results to be declared by IGNOU. Check out the results of re-evaluation of answer scripts in the official website of IGNOU.
